Ken Seeley, Founder of Intervention 911 and Ken Seeley Communities (KSC), has been a leading force in addiction and mental health recovery since achieving sobriety in 1989. As a longtime interventionist on A&E’s Intervention, Ken blends decades of experience with a deep passion for helping families and individuals heal. His innovative approach offers a seamless continuum of care—from intervention to treatment and aftercare—through KSC’s comprehensive programs, all designed to support lasting recovery.

Eric McLaughlin

Eric McLaughlin, ASW, MSW, CCMI-M, CIP

Eric McLaughlin is the CEO of The Ken Seeley Group, which includes Intervention 911 and Ken Seeley Communities. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of the USC School of Social Work, Eric oversees clinical services, including intervention, treatment, and long-term case management. He specializes in helping families impacted by addiction and mental health challenges, combining clinical expertise with hands-on intervention experience. Eric is also passionate about training interventionists and case managers, sharing his knowledge through robust educational programs.

Caroline D. Smith, MA, LPC, CSAT-S, CMAT, CIP, EMDR

Caroline D. Smith, MA, LPC, CSAT-S, CMAT, CIP, EMDR, was the Director of Pine Grove’s Addiction Services and Intensive Workshops. Smith has over twenty years of expertise working with high profile, international clients dealing with intimacy disorders and sexual addiction betrayal. Smith frequently speaks at professional conferences throughout the United States and Internationally. She also had the honor of providing a plenary session during Ireland’s first Neuroscience and Addiction Conference, and she authored a chapter in the published book, Mending A Shattered Heart: A Guide for Partners of Sex Addicts, 2nd edition. Caroline Smith holds two Master’s degrees in Professional Counseling and Traumatic Abuse from Ottawa University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist-Supervisor, and a Certified Interventionist Professional. She is EMDR II trained and holds clinical expertise in the areas of trauma resolution, relationship attachment patterns, and addiction interaction disorders.

Dr. Mo, (Melissa Dittberner), PhD, CPS, PS, LMT

Dr. Mo, (Melissa Dittberner), PhD, CPS, PS, LMT, is an award winning lecturer in the Addiction Counseling and Prevention department at the University of South Dakota. She has a Ph.D. in Counseling and Psychology in Education, a master’s in Addiction Studies and a bachelor’s in Health Sciences. Dr. Mo is a TEDx speaker, prevention specialist and peer specialist. She is the CEO of Straight Up Care, a telehealth platform for peer specialist. Dr. Mo is the Executive Director of Midwest Street Medicine. She is a co-author of, The Alcohol Reset. She does research on college students’ substance use, pedagogy, addiction, trauma, body brokering, tattoos as healing and harm reduction. Dr. Mo is a person in long-term recovery and her mission is to empower individuals to learn and navigate their paths to recovery and well-being.
