Drug Intervention CoordinatorRon Fournier, MPA / CCDC / ICCDC / LCADC / Intervention Coordinator

Ron has been a dual diagnosis counselor and interventionist for over 25 years. He has worked as a consultant to countless treatment centers, and is accepted in both state and federal jurisdictions as an expert witness. In Maryland, and Florida he trained fellow professionals within the intervention community; he also holds Emeritus status from the Association of Intervention Specialists. He is currently a candidate for the BRI II. He has performed hundreds of interventions and provided treatment to patients in the United States, the Far East and the Middle East. Ron has been an active member of the recovery community for 33 years; he is widely seen as an "Elder Statesman." One who guides the 12 steps, and treatment communities through blending research, experience, strength, and hope.

His current focus is on senior citizens.

Thirty percent of the high risk population will become addicted to substances which are the primary diagnosis and or behaviors which are the secondary diagnosis. Examples are: chemical dependency-problem gambling, chemical dependency-shop lifting and chemical dependency-out of control spending. Due to its progressive nature left untreated addictions will continue until one of three things occurs; insanity, prison, or death. No one wants to be remembered by their family as an alcoholic or problem drinker, drug addict- abuser of (prescription or illicit drugs), or the family member who hit financial rock bottom. Ron is here to bring the bottom up to enable your loved one to work the twelve steps of recovery, break the cycle of addiction, and share the experience and the joy of a clean and sober new life. He believes that the bottom will be brought up via the intervention 911 process.
